SCHOLARSHIPS

General Information

  • The application dates and application conditions for the scholarships by Sani Konukoglu Foundation are published on the website of the foundation every year.
  • It is required to be registered in the undergraduate programs of the state universities in the country in order to benefit from the scholarship. Open education and distance education programs are out of scope.
  • Students who are studying at the universities of the foundation cannot apply for a scholarship.
  • All students who will benefit from the scholarship should be in need of financial support in order to complete their education and should be academically successful in accordance with the set criteria.
  • Scholarships are provided to Turkish citizen students who are studying in Turkey.
  • The foundation does not grant scholarship to those who receive scholarships as monthly cash aid from other sources. (Except for government-granted scholarships).
  • Sani Konukoglu Foundation Scholarships are non-refundable and do not impose a repayment or service obligation to the student.
  • The quota, scope and conditions of the scholarships and the qualifications to be sought in the students are determined by the Executive Committee. Priority is given to the children of the personnel who are working in SANKO Holding companies during the scholarship applications.
  • The duration of the scholarship is the normal education period of the program in which the scholar is registered. The preparatory class, if any, is added to this period. However, students who are entitled to receive a scholarship should submit a petition requesting the continuation of the scholarship each year and document that they have passed to the next grade. Scholarships for students who do not fulfil these conditions shall be terminated.
  • Scholarship payments are made to the bank account of the student for 9 months, from October to June.
  • Scholars who attend any overseas education program (Erasmus, etc.) with a student exchange program and who will continue to study at the university they are enrolled in when they return will continue to receive their scholarship payments during their stay abroad, provided that the information and documentation requested by the foundation are submitted.
  • Scholarships for students who fail to submit the documentation requested by the foundation management in a timely and complete manner, who repeat the grade, receive disciplinary punishment for any reason, dismissed from the school, found to have received a scholarship from another institution (except government granted scholarships), or found to have given false information are terminated.

Application and Evaluation

In order to benefit from the Sani Konukoglu Foundation scholarship; it is required to be registered in the undergraduate and associate degree programs of State Universities.

  • Students who are studying at the Universities of the Foundation are not allowed to apply for a scholarship.
  • Those who are placed with DGS cannot apply for a scholarship.
  • Students who are studying at Open Education and Distance Education programs are not allowed to apply for a scholarship.
  • Students who will apply for a scholarship should be in need of financial support to continue their education.
  • Scholarships are provided to Turkish citizen students who are studying in Turkey.
  • The Sani Konukoglu Foundation does not grant scholarships to those who receive scholarships from other sources, except state granted scholarships.
  • Candidate students who are applying for a scholarship should submit the required documentation along with the Application Form to the address on the WEBSITE of the Foundation within the specified time upon requested by the Foundation.
  • The scholarship rights of the scholarship candidates who have missing documentation or do not submit any documentation shall be terminated.
  • Scholarship applications received are evaluated by evaluation of the success and income status of the candidates, if the quotas are available, and those deemed eligible are entitled to receive a scholarship. •
  • If an inaccurate situation is detected in the information or documentation of the scholars, the scholarship shall be cancelled. Legal action can be initiated for the refund of the amounts paid.

First of all, I would like to start this short article by thanking our second family, SANKO HOLDING, and its employees, who stood by us in our challenging but joyful educational life and did not refrain to help. I joined the Sanko Family last year and I am very glad about it. I'm an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student. Like my other friends, I continue my education with the Sanko scholarship and this scholarship, at least in my opinion, has contributed to me and my life a lot. I hope that I can somehow give in return for this help and even more in the future. I really owe a debt of gratitude. That's all I want to say for now. Hello, I completed my undergraduate education with the scholarship that I received from your foundation. First of all, I would like to thank you for making financially disadvantaged students, like me, feel comfortable in their higher education and focus on their education. Dear officials of Sani Konukoglu Foundation, I'm Certified Public Accountant Aysegul Orhan Ayat. I received a scholarship from the Sani Konukoglu Foundation from 2000 to 2004. I'm one of the two daughters of a low-income government official family. I graduated from the Department of Business Administration of Karaman Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Selcuk University. The biggest share in my graduation from university and in becoming a Certified Public Accountant today belongs to your foundation. Because if I was able to graduate from school and have a profession today, that is because of the scholarship I received from you. Otherwise, my family did not have the financial means to cover my education. Since my brother was also going to school, my family could not afford to pay for my education expenses and I would not be able to study outside the city. But I was able to graduate from the university with the scholarship I received from you. On behalf of me and all other scholars of your foundation like me, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the officials and employees of your foundation, particularly the late Sani Konukoglu. As long as the scholarships that you grant continue, I'm sure many of our brothers and sisters will be able to continue their education; with your favor, they will be able to get rid of ignorance and backwardness, and grow up as individuals who can do beneficial works for their country and nation.
